I have a 2006 Torrent and it has a nasty habit of the engine dying while driving, it will turn over and restart but then stop as soon as you try to accelerate.
Codes read as follows: P0108: P0641 P0463: U0073 when these Codes are cancelled she will run for about five minutes then the engine dies.
It will eventually restart and run with the codes cleared after the engine or should I say the electrical system cools down!
One day the engine died but I managed to get it restarted and started to drive home in "limp" mode but there was a bad electrical smell so turned off the ignition and had it taken on a flat bed to a garage.
The garage mechanic cleared the codes and she ran for two weeks with out a problem, but lately it seems that after running for 30 mins or more the engine shuts down and by only clearing all the codes can it be restarted.
Also the fuel gauge hasn't worked since I bought the vehicle and we have replaced both primary and secondary fuel level sensors and checked the wiring from the tank, but the problem still persists.
I think it is all related, anyone have an idea where I should start??

if the car was in a shop why didnt the mechanic check the causes and solutions for all those codes and fix the problem? The P0108 points to the MAP sensor, the P0463 relates to your gauge issue, the P0643 could be related to your throttle position sensor.
