My girlfriend has a 2002 Sunfire that is having some electrical issues that we need help with. How it started was a few weeks ago all her gauges (tach, speedo, fuel, and temp) stopped working and all her warning lights came on and her odometer displayed an "error". This went on for a day or so and then all her gauges started working again and her warning lights are no longer on but now the backlight in the dash doesn't work and her tail lights don't turn on when you turn the running lights on. All the turn signals work, all the hazard lights work, and the brake lights work too. Only two things that don't work are the backlight in the dash and the tail lights when the running lights are turned on. I've checked the fuses and all the lights and everything checked out but the fuse labeled "EXT LP" seems to be the problem. As soon as you put a fuse in and turn the lights on it blows. If any one has any ideas or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
