engine identification

hello i am looking for help to ID the engine in my 77 Firebird. i have struggled to find a full vin number but found the two codes which look like GM-3 , at the front passenger side of the block and F157 above the spark plugs again on the passenger side. any help would be appreciated. i have attached a general view of the engine and codes.

the engine code is in front of the passenger side cylinder head on a motor pad.

 

[92 Sunbird LE]

F157 is a June 15 1977 head cast date code.
