Engine Idles rough then dies

I just finished putting a 88 2.8 v6 into my 86 Fiero SE which had a 2.8 in it. She fired right up, ran rough for a couple of seconds, then died. It will continue to start, and if I hold my foot on the accelerator half way down, she will rev up to 4, 5 and 6 thousand rpms and rev fine. As soon as I let my foot off the accelerator, it idles down, runs rough then dies again.

Any one know what is causing this? What do I need to do? Replace the ECM to a 88?

Hey there thought I would throw in my 2 cents and say It could be that your distributor is 180 degrees off. Not sure if you removed the distributor when you did the swap.

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Possibly a vacuum hose was missed during the swap?

I didn't think of that it def could be a vacuum leak
