the 69 I just picked up had the following done. Cylinders honed new rings new lower bearings and a valve job. This was done in 1985. Block was put back into the car in 85 but was never assembled or ran. Car has been garaged kept since 1985. Will pull the motor back out. Would it be best to just take it to a shop and have them go thru it to make sure all is good or would it be something I can Tackle? Looks clean but a little dry. I pulled 1 head off and cylinders look great.

I would definitely disassemble it because any lubricant used during assembly is gone.
Cannt tell you whether it is a DIY project since I dont know your skill level and experience and tool collection.

How did you make out with the motor ? I rebuilt mine in April I was pretty surprised at how much the machine work cost.
