engine swap

well i cant seem to be able to get the drive-axles out of my car without taking out the brake master cylinder. any ideas?

Just remove the M/S and then swap, i can't really remember if you HAVE to take it out or not, i believe you do.

don't the axles pull out of the tranny?

they're sopposed to but i cant get enough leverage under the car to pull it out. and the master cylinder is in the way on top. i had to work all day today but i'll have em out on sunday....no matter what

when i was replacing my axle seal i disconnected the axle from the hub and it pulled right out, then i tapped in the new seal and put the axle back in. i have a 5sp manual though.

just thought you all would like to know i have gotten my engine and tranny out! wednesday i will pick up the knew stuff and sart the hard part. woo hoo

does anybody know if i can use my interior harness w/ my new engine harness and where i can get a custom pcm?

by the way i hope you now now that your car wont start at all no mater what you do right thats bcase you did not think just like i did the same mistak your car is fine its not what you did that it wont start its the gm theft lock thats stopping it now try to dissable this for fun i cant enyway if you now how can you pm me please thans kherault

I don't know if you noticed but this thread hasn't been touched for 6 months. Yes I do know about the antitheft considering I deal with them everyday.

The only reason I needed the obd2 was the transmission, the new engine can be run off of the old obd1 with minor sensor swaps.... easy stuff. But I've long since moved on to a different car. I appreciate your concern though.
