Hi,

i have a 2002 sunfire gt and the check engine light went on and the computer said the evap. i replace the pump under the hood (it has a green cap) because it wasn't sucking anymore so i replaced it and it started the suck my finger so that means it works now so i reseted it and the light came on again and said evap, is there anything else i should check?

that just tells you the fuel system evaporative sensor detects an air leak. It could be you gas cap, it could be a loose fitting, etc. The normal way to resolve that is go to a shop that can do a smoke test.
