Exhaust Ideas for a 1978 firebird

Well, right now, my car sounds like a sewing machine! (aka its really quiet)

I want to open up the sound of the car..
the inlet pipe going into the muffler is 2 1/4"
the outlet pipes coming from the muffler is 2"

I was thinking about dropping the stock muffler and putting a new one, however the outlet pipes would be 3"

some advice would be awesome!

however, I am constrained due to my budget.. So I was just curious if my option that I stated above would open up the sound..

or if you had any other ideas or advice to make the car louder (for the time being)

I would love to use some of those exhaust systems! ( As soon as I get the money)

Then go to www.summitracing.com and try a dynomax muffler. Check the dynomax site first to see which of their various types will give you the sound your looking for.
