Factory GPS/DVD radio

The factory 6 stack CD player in my 08 Torrent is NFG and the dealership is replacing it under warranty, I asked about upgrading it and they have offered me the oportunity to upgrade to the GPS/DVD unit (no idea how much $$$ to upgrade yet)

Just curious if the factory GPS/DVD units are any good or if I should consider an aftermarket unit (or seperate GPS) instead?

a portable unit such as a Garmin you can move to any car you want and a life time subscription to maps is cheaper in the end then buying new discs.

dealership wanted $1750 to upgrade from my factory 6 stack OUCH!

Definitly not worth it, aftermarket garmin it is!
