Ok it is -25 outside and the kid started her 2006 torrent and the rad fans came on , I asked how long it has been like this and I got What. The coolant level is right, there are no lights indicating a problem but those two fans are roaring away. Last week it was warm now it is a cold snap, anyone have an idea . The fans shut off when the key is shut off, so that should eliminate the temperature sensor hmm could it be the remote start? It was installed in the summer and has worked fine. The best weekend of football and I'm going to be working outside.

Ok I just plugged in my ELM327 and ran a fault check, up popped temperature sensor pending fault. I cleared the fault code and started it bada Bing bada boom everything back to normal. That $15 for that cheap Bluetooth OBD reader is so worth it. I have one in my Malibu that is always plugged in and I want to use a tablet as a full time information centre when I replace the radio

You do realize the code may come back because of a bad sensor?
