...Trans Am? I've a 1980 Trans Am with a pontiac 400. The shroud came off of ebay from supposedly a 79 camaro. Do you have to take the fan, or the radiator out to install the shroud?

The Pontiac and Chevy shrouds are different you will need the one for the pontiac engine .. the only time the Camaro shroud would fit would be if your car was equipped with a smallblock from the factory , the Pontiac used a different radiator support for the Firebird with a Pontiac engine than the Chevy engine equipped cars ...
Once you get the correct one you will have to take the fan, radiator and possibly the alternater and power steering off to get the shroud in as it wraps around the radiator..

is it one or two piece ? some shrouds come with a seam in the middle which you can disasemble and connect to radiator support from the top and from the bottom, since it's from a different year and model you may have to make minor modifacations, take your time ,it should be a simple fix. becareful not to damage the radiator

if there isn't enough room between fan and rad , you have to remove rad and lay shroud over fan , put back rad and mount shroud to rad, simple.

ROSS, Don't bother removing the radiator, just the de-clutching fan. It'll drop right in.
