Few Sunfire questions?

Hello all, I'm new to pontiac and have just bought a 2002 sunfire 2.2. I just have a few question's which are:

What can I do to tune it slightly? I'm not after any kind of crazy gains just something to improve responsiveness slightly, as I think it's a bit sluggish for a 2.2.

Is there any after market items to illuminate the heater/a controls? Or any suggestions on how I could do it?

My reversing lights don't work but bulbs are good and so are fuses, I think it's the reverse light switch. Where or how would I test this?

Where is the fuel filter located? Had a quick look in around the rear axial but couldn't see it?

Is there any thing I should look out for ?

1. Have you done a basic tuneup, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs.
2, Did you check if bulbs are burnt out.
3. Look on the transmission shift linkage but also use a voltmeter to test the sockets.
4. Did you look in the area of the passenger side towards rear of car

Haven't done a tune up yet but have everything there just need to get into a friends garage some evening to do it. Any other ideas I could try ?

Yes the bulbs are good so are the fuses.

Yeah I had a quick look but didn't get a good look.

I was thinking of a cold air intake to help
