I have a 1988 Fiero GT with 28,000 miles. The issue I have is when you start the car and turn on the air conditioning the idle will jump between 1100 and 500 RPM's. Once the car warms up the idle is very consistent at 950 RPM's. I have changed the IAC and the PCV valve and still have this issue. Anyone have any ideas?

Fiero Idle Issue

Have you checked the rear bank exhaust manifold for a crack. All V6 Fieros had this problem both of mine had it. It cracks where the tubes are welded together from the torque of the engine. The car runs like crap when its cold but once it is warmed up runs fine. Best solution if they are cracked is to add headers from the fierostore.
