Firebird 3.4

Sorry I might be missing something, but If I use a 3.4 block from a Camaro or firebird why move the starter and not just use the 3.4 original starter? I'm kinda inexperienced in all of this, but I'm learning
 
Because the starter on the F-body cars mounts on the other side of the engine block.
The starter has to mate with the flywheel which means the transaxle has to have a spot for it. The Fiero transaxle bell housing dictates where the starter has to me mounted.
