Firebird pontiac?

Looking into buying a 1990 pontiac firbird, gets 20 miles to the gallon, anything I should know about this rig? What should I ook for when I check it out, does the pontiac have any problems(engine ect.) The owner is asking $900 for it, I've seen it run, any advice?

Depending on where you are located, watch for body rust and wear in the suspension components and engine oil leaks ..
pretty much the same stuff you would look out for in any car..
