Hi. My Oil Pressure light flickers when the car is idling.
Could this be the idle is to low, bad connection or bad switch?
I am driving a '92 Sunbird LE (Non Turbo).

Thanks

What is your idle speed? You could have the pressure tested with an external gauge or just replace the sensor and see what happens. What viscoisty oil are you using and how many miles on the engine?

Hi. I do not have a tach, so I am not sure what my idle speed is. It sound ok, but it may be a bit low and my acceleration could be better.

I would have to get an oil pressure test to test it.

Where would the sensor be located and how would I remove it?

I am using 5W30 and the mileage is 180,000km

Thanks

easiest and cheapest thing for you to do is switch to 10W30 and put in one bottle of STP oil treatment. The switch should be near the oil filter and is removed with a socket.
