Floor Pan Repair -- 1980

Hey everyone!

I am now wondering; I can not find a floor replacement panel for the front toe pans on both side for a 1980 firebird or anything fabricated for that year or will fit that year.

I was wondering if I could use scrap metal. (Will be removed of any surface rust: etch primed, primed and painted) I have sheet metal from a doner vehicle (81 T/A) and have 2 front fenders, inner wheel houses, trunk lid, and 2 doors (for door skins).

Have you looked at www.amesperf.com or www.frankspontiacparts.com If you have the skill you can fabricate it out of donor sheet metal.

Fabricate it or cut it out of a parts car. i just checked last years Ames and the new Classic Industries catalog and came up empty.

Yeah, the only place I found it was buying it used. I need both toe pans (Driver/Pass) as well as trunk drop offs, (Driver/pass). Looked on NPD, Year One, CI, so on and so forth.

Being a Canadian vehicle (with our lovely salt), I`m very surprised the only rotted out place is in the toe pans and only a hole size of 2 golf balls.
