Formula thermostat

Hi all,
New '96 Formula WS6 owner here, and I need a little help. This car has been getting close to overheating the past few weeks. The "low coolant" light comes on, but I've checked the coolant level and it's fine. I see no evidence of a leak, etc. Given this, I'm pretty sure the culprit is the thermostat.

I have a replacement ready to go. What I'm wondering is if there's a diagram of this car's engine out there showing the location of the thermostat? I have to admit, I'm having problems finding it.

A little newer than what Im used to, but I THINK, that it is around the throttle body somewhere, I admit, Im probably wrong, but mine is close to there, so its just a guess. look on the internet, you should be able to find out from there, but Im sure someody here will know that car, If that dont work, get your cars codes checked, it dont cost much, and it can save some time and money in the long run. but I think that the thermostat is a safe guess.

Easy way to find it is to follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. But, how do you know it is running hot? How hot? If you start the car up and warm it up to operating temp, squeeze the upper radiator hose closed with your hand ( use gloves, very HOT!) and when you let go a bit to let coolant flow, you should feel it rush through the hose. If not then your thermostat is stuck closed. Are you sure both fans are running when it gets that hot?

If I remember correctly the low coolant light is triggered by a switch in the overflow. I would check the level in the overflow.
