My car ran very close to completely out of gas. I put about 2 gallons in it but it now refuses to start. The starter is fine and mechanically there is nothing wrong with the car. Just had the fuel pump and starter ignition module as well as the plugs replaced. Car is an automatic, 161,000 miles. Is this just dirt in the fuel line? If so, how do I fix this problem myself and get the car to start again so I can avoid taking it to a mechanic?
