fuel pump issue 04 sunfire

My fuel pump packed it in. I was wondering if it's possible to put an electric fuel pump in the line somewhere and avoid dropping the gas tank and replacing the factory pump? Anyone have any experience with this?

have literally never seen/heard of anybody doing that. I'm not sure you could suck gas through the factory pump.
