fuelpump wireing 1994 pontiac sunbird 2.0?

black/white/purple wires come out of the plug-black&purple go to the sending unit white goes to the pump plug-black comes back to the pump plug-Now its white&black at the pump plug and black&purple at the sending unit purple looks like sending unit hot-Black ground-white switch hot? pump stop working & there is no power at the black&white but there is power at the Purple&black.any thought's?
