I just picked up a 2002 Montana last night. This van had been sitting for about 6 months or so. When I got it to start the fuel gauge was on very close to empty. I went right to a gas station and put in 25.00. When I got back in the van the gauge was right up to full. I would love to believe 25$ would fill this but since I have a 2001 montana as well I know thats not the case. It should have been between 1/4 and 1/3 full. Any one know why this thing would go right up. Thanks

bad wiper arm on the sending unit ,a common problem with gm's in that era try this link below and this is what i did and it fixed my 99 buick regal problem good luck keep us posted

Thats a great question , from what I remember my buddy was telling me on the 2000 he had to drop the tank
