Alright as I've stated before the kid who had my fiero before me trashed it. There were alot of missing hoses cut lines ect. Its almost all done but I have a connecter with a wire going from one prong to another. It sits near bottom of engine.
It controls gauges cause when its disconnected my gauges dont work.

its the piece im holding in first picture.

QUESTION: What is it, where can I get it.

That appears to be your tach filter. Is that the gauge that stops working when you unplug it?

Rodney Dickman sells replacements if that is indeed what you are holding

Actually when its disconnect nothing on my dash works, no gauges.

That is not the tach filter. So if it is disconnected just the gauges do not work or is there other things? (Stereo, Cig lighter, interior fan, etc.) It kind of looks like the accessory power connector which is suppose to have a fuseable link. Looks like someone modified it with a jumper wire. Usually it sits beneath the battery tray on the 85 thru 88 Fiero's. Not sure on the 1984's as the wire harness is different. What year Fiero is it?

86.

As far as I know its Just my Dash Gauges. I Don't have stereo wired up, I know i have a bad interior fuse as well. But first time starting it unhooked it backfired. when its slightly disconnected the tach did act up.

Typically red or orange wires are 12V feed to a system. Can you trace the wires to another block or connector? That might be helpful.

The red wire will most likely have power on it. See if you can trace back the tan wire. If you can let us know where that connector is. I may be able to tell whats going on by tracing the connetors down in the factory service manual. If it traces back to the C500 connector (the one that goes thru the firewall) see if you can tell me what pin it goes on.

Both wires a tan, and go into a huge bundle of wires feed to firewall.
