First time here so if I'm doing something wrong with posting please let me know.

I recently got a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am and tonight I noticed that the gear indicator light doesn't go off. It is in park and the little light next to the gear shifter stays on, even after the car is shut off. I checked it every hour for 3 hours after I noticed that it was on, and it still won't go off. I have googled everything I can think of and can't seem to find anything that says it's normal, or says that it's a problem. Is it going to drain my battery? Does anyone know if it's normal, and if not what could be causing it to stay on?

Look in both interior fuse boxes and pull one fuse at a time till the light goes out. Once you have determined that you have to find out why that circuit stays life. It is unusual that only that one light would stay on and hasnt killed the battery, you are sure it's not a reflection?

Thanks for the reply. I ended up pulling the PRNDL fuse last night, and the light went off. I'm positive it isn't a reflection. It glows bright in the dark. I haven't messed with it yet today. Last night I pulled all the fuses and the only one that made the light off off was the PRNDL. I only got the car a couple weeks ago, and only noticed the light yesterday, but I also haven't driven much at all. I guess I'll go out and mess with it some more now. Thanks!
