Hello all,
My trunk pan needs to be replaced and a buddy of mine has a Golden Star 7 piece kit to sell to me. I am trying to find out if Golden Star is a good brand or not. I know sheet metal is hit or miss and usually pieces need work to fit right. I just want a quality kit. I hear there are two or so companies that make the pieces and they get sold under different names (dynacorn, Goodmark, Year One etc.). Any help would be appreciated! Thanks for looking.

this is for what year LeMans?

Golden Star is thin compared to AMD stuff, but most of what I read is , if you really want quality, use a donor cars stuff............ nothing out there equals it.;)

Doug in P.R.

It's a 64 Melsg5.
Thanks Doug, I think I a limited in finding a parted out 64. I know I might find another BOP 64 as they are the same but I would rather not have to search hi and low.

I will check them too. I don't want a one piece though. I don't want to cut my quarters in order to install the trunk pan. I have consulted with a few shops around me and they have said to get a 7 piece kit. I looked at AMD and I didn't see a pontiac trunk pan kit. I do see a chevy Malibu or Chevrolet kit. I believe that is also the same.

both yearone and ames carry the trunk in separate sections if that is the way you chose
