• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... My first Pontiac, well except my 78 Olds Starfire had a Pontiac 151 ci in it. It has the V6 so being that my last 7 vehicles were vans and minivans, this has a lot of get up and go.

I had told my niece if she ever traded it in, let me have a stab at it. Several years ago she had let me drive it for a few weeks because the turn signal relay kept ticking even going straight. I fixed that and a few little other things and returned it. 1.5 years ago she got hit in the rear but most of the damage is not visible. The person's insurance company said it was totaled and paid her for it. She went to the salvage yard and bought it back before the title even left her hand.

When she went to trade it in she made the mistake of telling the salesman it was a salvage, so they didn't want it and so I got it.

I got the new title the other day and it's not marked salvage. However I'm not paying $20 just to find out what Carfax says about it. I did check it against the national database for it being totaled and it's not there.

No matter since I give all my vehicles to charity eventually to part out.

So now that it's warmer, I can finally start working on all the little things wrong with it.
