gran am wont turn over?

ok i bought this car for $400 its a 97 gran am with the 2.4... guy saids its the head gasket but i found antifreeze and oil in the intake tube so i think its the intake gasket ... i cant get the car to turn over so i can check the compression ... the battery is hold a charge but even with the battery charger it will just click when i turn the key over?
need some suggestions please

pull the spark plugs and try cranking to see if it will turn over, you may have antifreeze in the cylinders. Have the battery load tested, if it's really bad the charger wont do it.
