I need some help. Got this Grand AM GT 2000 V6
I brought this thing to 4 different Mechanics including a Pontiac dealer ship.
All of them put this car on the ODB tester and all have replaced parts that claim is the problem and all of them rapped me with a bill but to no avail the problem is still there.
So far replaced - Spark Plugs and wires. Both O2 sensors - Fuel filter and pump - EGR and MAP sensor.
Even cut the exhaust off thinking it was plugged.
The problem is hard to explain so Ill give an example of my drive across Canada which was very interesting.
Starting out in a city wasn't to bad but I could make it fart and sputter if I was to hard on the throttle. I had to ease the peddle every where I went.
Once I eased it up to 100kph and started my drive it was smooth sailing except I noticed something after driving for about 100km that if I let the car drop down to 80 the peddle wouldn't work anymore, well unless I put it to the floor. So all across Canada I was the guy doing 100 then 60 then flooring it up to 100 and drop down to 60, very hard to keep the car in speed limit at 80.
Second thing I noticed that after the a good stretch of driving at 100 ish, If i got to a town and drop down to 40, the car was un-drive able. The easing the peddle thing did not work anymore unless I pulled over and turned the car off then on again and I was good to go until I drove another 100k or so at a higher speed.
I have attached a link to Utube where I have a video of the in town driving. It was not to bad in the video but have had it way worse. Just random crappy power and acceleration.
