Grand am wired for ets but no button?

While pulling my radio out to do some repairs on it today I noticed a bundle of wires not connected to anything behind it. Did some research and found out it's normally for the ets button, however my car didnt come with that button. So the question here is if I buy the switch and deface my panel to install it, is it actually going to work for traction control? Or did they just wire it up for funsies?

Not sure what you found but the traction control system consists of a lot more than a switch.
