Grand Prix tranny swap causes security issue

2000 GRAND PRIX GT 3800 4T65E After replacing the tranny with a used one, my transmission is working great, but I have had a security problem ever since the swap. The security light on the instrument panel flashes whenever I start the car. It goes off after about ten minutes of driving. Also, the little red light on the dash is not coming on at all. So far, I have no problem starting and driving the car. I just have the annoying flashing security light. I have checked all fuses and even did a passkey relearn, just in case. Any suggestions?

You have Pass-Key 3. You followed the instructions on page 2-28 of the owners manual using both keys?

I only have the original key. Don't need to program a new key.

I realize that, trying to determine if you used the same procedure listed in the owners manual.

Then your left with having diagnosis run with a scan tool while the security light is on.
