I`ve been a member of several forums over the years, from musicians forums to automotive forums. There`s always a wealth of information that can be found through the various members. I am greatful always for the information I`ve learned over the years from the experience and expertise of others. I also feel it importatant to 'tell' those people if they`ve been a help...or not!
In the few weeks I`ve been a member of this forum, there`s been alot of 'crys for help' from people who are sometimes desparately in need of an answer for their vehicle related problems. There have also been alot of answers....but few gratitudes.
Posting a 'thankyou note' goes a long way in terms of letting others know that the information that they were given helped them...or not. If it`s the wrong answer, we should know. If it`s the right answer, we should know also. This is also beneficial for those future members, who may be in need of a solution themselves. It will also help those offering solutions to know if they were of any help, or if they should try harder to find a solution.
I`m not looking for a pat on the back. Really. Nor are the others who offer their time to help others. I just honestly believe that a little gratitude will go along way in helping all of us help others.

Just a thought.

X2 well said Ian : also it's frustrating to read or help people with there problems that you also have and they don't post the fix ??? It's like reading a book with the last page missing.
