Hey Guys I Have 2005 Pontiac Sunfire & Just Installed My Amplifier & New 6x9's In The Rear Deck & Everything Is Hooked Up, But Having A Ground Problem For My Amp. I'm Getting A Faint Whining Through My Speakers When I Start The Car & Seems Like My Sub Isn't Hitting Right Either Like It Normally Does. I Went 2 3 Different Grounding Spots In My Trunk & Still Getting The Same Effect!! Where Is The Best Spot 2 Ground 2!!

Probably because every GM L body I've ever seen have bad grounds in general. pull the main ground cable and clean, strip paint, re-ground, and use anti corrosion grease. for the ground in the trunk, make sure you are bare metal to metal as well. you can also use a static ground strip; one of the rubber deals hanging off the bottom of the chassis and dragging on the ground all the time. If none of those things work, you may just have a cheap amp or bad internal ground, could be the ground on the deck itself which can be improved the same ways as mentioned before. If that is the case, the noise filter is probably your best option, but I would start at the source and check your main ground from the battery.
