Just scored a 455 from a 73 grandville to put in my 76 firebird. Should I swap my 76 heads from the 350 onto the 455? It should increase the compression ratio by over a point.

Hoping to hear from someone who has done the swap. I've been told it is fairly common. I'd like to know how much of a performance improvement there is. According to my calculations the comp ratio should be in the 9.2 to 1 range.

did you use the calculator I provided you with, below, it went from almost 9 with 122cc heads to a little over 10 with 94cc heads . It would be good for about 75HP. That site does nothing but Ponitacs
