Headlamps gone whacky

First off, thank you for your time. My left headlamp grinds only when I turn them off and when I lock or unlock the car. I own a 2001 Trans am BTW. It is also catching the hood when I turn on the headlamps and I'm hoping there is an adjustment for that, but again, only grinds when turning off. Apparently I have a bad gear but any help with the questions asked is greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your time, Rick

Cannt do any research at the moment, no power, and cell is intermittent. Just Google Firebird headlight door gear. You will find lots of threads. The hood issue maybe related but have not come across that before.

Found out the issue with the hood. There are hood stops, one on either side and the plastic had broken on one side and the hood was sitting lower there. Thanks man.
