Headlight problem for 85 pontiac fiero?

I have an 85 pontiac fiero with problems with the headlights. My right headlight goes up but the left doesnt. When the lights are on it can be done manually but when you shut the car off they go down and you have to crank it up all over again. Im pretty sure its not the relay because theres a click when the lights are turned off, and im not sure about the motor itself, because it brings the light down. What could it be?

The bushings on the electric motor. The Fiero Store or Rodney Dickman both sell rebuild kits for the lights. It's not hard to do. I would recommend rebuilding both motors because the second one probably isn't far behind.
