Headlight?

Howdy folks, I just got a 2004 sunfire and have a question. Which headlights are the high beams inside or outside? The low beams shine higher than the high beams. When I went to adjust them I saw there is only one adjustment-for the head lights not high/low beam independently. When I looked at the lights, the inside lights are on for low beams and outside lights for high beams this seems backward to me. Also the day time running lights are on the inside which seems correct to me.

Outside is low beam.
It might be that the wiring was repaired due to known defects and was wired wrong.

That's what I thought. I just went out and swapped them and adjusted the height. All is good!

2001 Pontiac Sunfire Low Beam Headlight

I had an issue with the Low Beam on my 2001 Sunfire. One night I was driving and I noticed my Low Beam is Off. I switched it to High Beam and it was Ok. Now my DRL is turning off because it senses a problem with the Low Beam.

I checked Left and Right fuses and they are fine. I tried to replace Lamps on both sides but nothing change, Low beam would not turn On. I am beginning to think it's an issue with the wiring but don't know where to start tracing.

Is there anyone who can suggest where to begin tracing the wire? I am not even sure which of the three terminals behind the lamps are for the low beam and where it should terminate on the other end. Is there a junction terminal I could check ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
