This has been an issue ever since I bought it, but it is becoming increasingly annoying. My vent selector only blows out of the front vents, no where else. I heard that the heater control cable that connects to the vent changer(or whatever its called) could be kinked, so I checked, and it was. Straightened it out, tried to change where the air was blowing out of, but no luck. I then tried to do it by hand by pushing the wire up, but it seems whatever it is attached to is jammed. Any ideas of what it could be or how much it would cost to have fixed? It's a 2003 Sunfire by the way. I need to get this fixed soon, because especially during cold Wisconsin winters, I need my front defrost.

Any help is appretiated!
Thank you! :) :)

when you discovered it was knicked was that at the selector door end? If so did you try manually moving the door? Sounds like something is causing the door to bind.

It was kinked at the knob end. I've tried disconnecting it and then moving it up and down manually, but I'm pretty sure something is causing the door to jam, because it wouldn't budge.
