Is there a vacuum hose that controls the heat door on the montana?
Heat only while driving

if you have heat while driving it's not a vacuum line.
have you checked the coolant level on a completely cold engine? If it's low I suspect a leak allowing air into the cooling system.
does the engine temperature gauge read low?
