Heater hose mounting

Hey guys, i just got done doing a Lower intake gasket set on a 01 aztek with the 3.4L. the metal heater hose that goes into the intake popped out, I don't see any mounting hardware on it (compared to a 00 monte carlo) im just wondering if it just sits there or does it mount? is there supposed to be an o-ring on it? Everything went fine on the job, now that its back together, its hard to figure out why it popped out.

Part 26 on the diagram they show an o-ring at $6.93 not sure if this is what you need, go to the site to verify

thats for the by pass system to the water pump. Im looking at the heater hose that comes from the heater core to the intake... I might just be missing the o-ring tho
