• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hey just got my first Pontiac, its a 1981 pontiac trans am, with the 455 under the hood, its flate blake(atm). i plane on restoring it this coming summer, the inside of the care is pretty much shot, the out side has a 1' by 2' hole on the drivers side rear corner panel, oh and the t-tops work in it too(cant wait tell summer time), also im 20 years old male. had a quick question does this car normally have issues trying to start in temps lower then 20?, also i do own another truck and its a 1985 dodge ram.

welcome to the forum. When new the car had no problems starting when below 20, pump the gas 3 times turn the key. At this point with out knowing how it's beem maintained hard starting could be caused by many issues.

ya here in the next couple of days i plane on trying to get a carfax for it, to see what alls been done to it, i know that the motor that is in it came out of a buick, but im guessing that was an older one, ill try and post some pics here in the next day or two, the engine runs strong after started, doesnt sound like it has any issues, but i also just got the car last night so, still just trying to get some info on it, thanks for the quick response.

happy to try and answer your questions
