If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hi everyone,

I'm Kenji, 39 years old and live in The Netherlands.

After a car carreer of Japs only, I have just ventured into the US car world myself.
When I was young(er) I always tagged along with my uncle to US car shows with his '78 Mercury Cougar XR7 and was fascinated by the big, burly cars.

So now I have one of my own, a '94 TransAm.
I hope to learn a lot about the car here.

welcome to the forum, nice car, thanks for signing up

It's been an absolute blast driving this car daily to work. Even in the snow it handles great (and that coming from me, having owned a track-spec RX7 and 500 bhp Toyota).

Several things needed fixing, due to bad choices and neglect from previous owner, and some things upgraded:

- rear tires were seriously rubbing on the inner arches, so I repaced them for slightly narrower rubber
- the Corvette wheels were once chrome, but neglected, so the chrome was peeling off.
Cleared them of loose chrome, and painted them silver for now, till I get them blasted and powdercoated (would black be a good look?).
- serpentine belt was slipping, previous owner fitted a belt that was too long.
- alternator wasn't charging properly.
- rear shock were worn.
- front and rear stabilizer bar uplinks were worn.
- stock radio replaced with modern headunit.
- stock aircleaner replaced with cold air intake.
- fitted 1" spacers on rear wheels.

That's about it for now... Time for pictures :)

sounds like you have been quite busy keeping the car maintained. Personally I dont care for black wheels but your car your choice, wonder if a complementary green would work?
