I am new to this forum. I have been a member of the Grand Am Registry for several years. I own a 1978 Grand Am, with a 400 in it that has been bored thirty over. I also put in a mid-size cam. It also has a turbo 350 transmission with a shift kit. I can sure scare the crap out of a lot of these little ricers.
The car originally had a 301 in it. I rebuilt it at 185,000, and then pulled it out at 303,000. The 400 has 38,000 miles on it now.
I use it as a daily driver. The only trouble I have is the fact that I have to put high test in it and the price of gas has almost doubled since I put the 400 in. Oh well, the price of our toys.....
