Help 1990 PGAM No Power

Hi if anyone can i help i will be really great full

I have A 1990 Pontiac grand am LE i have bought a brand new Battery and starter but will not turn over nor is there any power getting to the starter please help????>>>>>!!!!

1. Did you check for a blown fusible link in the wire harness connected to the starter?
2. Do you have power at the ignition switch?
3. Have you checked for blown fuses?
4. Have you check the harness going into the fuse box for breaks?

you can register with autozone and see if they have one or try a Hanes manual
