My 2002 TA WS6 last night started acting up while driving home. The lights on the dash just went out and so did the radio lights. The gauges still work as does the radio, I just cant see what station its on. The lights on the steering wheel work, the odometer, and trip counter all still light up. I checked all the fuses (the panel next to the driver on the side of the dash, and the 2 panels under the hood, no blown fuses). The dimmer switch still works because when I adjust it, the lights on the steering wheel adjust from dim to bright.
When the ignition is on and the lights are off, the radio lights up and works, however when I turn the parking lights to on, or to the headlights on position, the radio lights then go off. The dash lights never come on.
What gives? Help!

so i have made a little progress. turnes out the dimmer fuse (5A) blew. I replaced the fuse and it blew right away again. I then put a 10A fuse in and the brake light fuse blew. There isn't any water in the tail lights as far as I can tell. The car did sit in a parking lot and it rained for a few days before I drove it.

I'm interested in what you figure out. My son has a 2002 Firebird and has the same or similar problem, however his is intermittent. Had one mechanic tell us he thought it might be the main wiring harness connector was loose. I think it's behind the glove box area. We haven't tried to fix it yet, but need to.

If your able to fix it, please let me know what you did, thanks
