help!!I have a question about my Pontiac Sunfire?

I have a pontiac Sunfire 2003. My fuel Pump went out and my car broke down. My husband changed my fuel Pump. The car start, drives etc. There is an another issue now. My car is idleing at 1.. which it use to be .5. When i excelerate, and then let off the gas, it lags, like it feels like i pressed on the breaks a little but i havent. I can practically drive around the dunkin donuts parking lot with out pressing on the gas. And when i do brake. its like the car doesnt stop all the way (its like it drifts foward a little and i have to press the brake hard. WHat the heck is going on?..does anyone have any idea?

Your engine is simply revving a bit too high. Since it's a computer-controlled car, I'm not exactly sure what you or your husband could do to fix it. I would take it to a shop and have them look at it. Your fuel pump may have been replaced with an incorrect replacement or perhaps your computer has become a little messed up after the repair.

Take it to Autozone or something and have the car scanned to see if it throws any codes.
