Help identify garage sale 4 speed transmission

Hi, I'm new to this Forum. I picked up a 4 speed transmission at a garage sale because.... well... it's a 4 speed Borg Warner with shifter and the price was right (I hope). Numbers 24N172659. I looked it up and I think the 2 means Pontiac the 4 is 1974 the N is Norwood and the rest is the VIN. It also has 6-10-74 and 04.065.903 FpC2. Is this from a 1974 Pontiac Firebird?

looking at this site http://www.pontiacpower.org/BW.htm your id is correct. it could be a Firebird but also I'm wondering if the so called 74 GTO/Ventura is another possibiity.
