Help mounting upper windshield frame molding

Hi everybody,

i restore a 65 Le Mans convertible.
Now i have a problem with mounting the upper windshield frame molding.
I got no idea, how to get the molding easily on to the windshield frame.
So i would be happy to get some hints.

Not sure what you mean by easily, doesnt it use clips?

Hello melsg5,
No there are no clips. You fasten it with screws. The molding is a little bit formed like a bow, so there is a lot of tension when you try to get it onto the windshield frame.
I' m not quite sure if it is a good idea to slip it from one side over the frame.
It's not the molding hat is around the windshield, its the wide chromemolding on top of the frame where the roof rests on when its closed.
