I recently bought an '02 Sunfire and apparently the previous owner decided to mount the passenger seat using sheet metal screws.. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how i would go about mounting the seat the proper way? (mounting pegs are gone)

looking at the diagram below I assume what you call pegs are actually threaded studs. Try replacing them with bolts from under the car.
