I have 96 grand am.The egr,evap montiors are always inc.Power is going there.I drive it all the time but no codes just reading inc.Everything is new.My odometer doesn't work.Interior lights work with drivers door only.I'm open to all ideas!!It's a 3.1!

When I put my scanner on they are always incomplete.The egr,evap but no codes.I got the odometer to work.The power getting to them.I have 2 different scanner a actron,innova.

Do you have a check engine light? Other than the scanner reading is there any other engine issue?

No codes no check engine. I was just worried about them montiors are incomplete.It runs just fine.First start in morning idle go to 1500rpm, but after in warms up and restarted it's normal about 700rpm.Any help would be nice.

Then I recommend you contact the scanner manufacturer with your question since there appears to be nothing wrong with the car, no light, no codes.

I/M readiness monitors are used to check the operation of the emission control system on OBD2 vehicles.

A status of INComplete does not necessarily indicate that the vehicle will fail a state inspection or have driveability issues. Some states allow one or more monitors to be "Not Ready" and still pass inspection.

Search for the "Drive Cycle" for your particular car to see what's necessary to make your monitors "Ready".

In my case with a 2001 Kia Rio, three monitors would not reset after numerous attempts. Replacing the ECM with a used one and doing a short drive cycle made all of the monitors "Ready" and the car passed the smog check.
