Hi my name is Jake Lee , i will be getting an 84 fiero this week apparently it will start if you spray starter fluid in the intake but will not idle smoothly and will eventually shut off so i am assuming this is a fuel related problem.. when i go to pick up the car i will replace all plugs and wires flush all fluids and refill with new ones, i am also debating using seafoam to clean the block. anyone with any suggestions feel free i have never owned a fiero or worked on one ill post pics when i get the car

Dirty fuel filter, Dirty fuel injector, weak fuel pump, or bad fuel pressure regulator would be the things to check if it is a fuel problem. The filter and/or injector are the most likely.

i had that problem. best thimg to do is drop the tank, take a brass wire brush and scrub all over the pump. also clean out the filter.
